Figurative Writing Fecap

Simile - Simile is a figure of speech that makes 2 different things into similarity, not like metaphor, similes use the words  "like" or "as" to compare things.
- Frogs jumps as high as springs
- Lighting is like a flash
- Some buildings are as high as trees
Metaphor - Metaphor is a figure of speech that directly state a comparison not like simile uses as or like.
- The sun is the light.
- The planet is a ball.
- My dad is a madman.
Alliteration - Alliteration is a term to describe literary device in which series of words begin with the same consonant sound.
- Weather in west side is windy.
- Slicing small strawberries is amazing.
- Time is always ticking.
Hyperbole - Hyperbole is a exaggerated statements or claims not meant to be taken literally.
